ABOUT
Lauren Torey is a 22-year-old mezzo-soprano from just outside of Toronto, Canada. Based in Manhattan, Torey recently completed her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Studies at The Juilliard School under the tutelage of Elizabeth Bishop. Torey has been honing her craft as a vocalist for over 17 years. She is a 2025 Resident Artist at the Glimmerglass Festival. Torey has been a part of the Shared Voices Cohort with the Denyce Graves Foundation and has performed at Carnegie Hall with Meridith Monk. She has performed in esteemed venues such as Carnegie’s Zankel Hall, Roy Thomson Hall, Alice Tully Hall, and Don't Tell Mama NYC.
Torey champions joyful performance, professionalism, and passion.
